I was travelling with my two young children having spent time with family in upper NY state we hadn't seen since pre-Covid. I then wanted to spend a few days in NYC with my children to show them around and explore and create more memories. My cousin used to live around the corner from the Lucerne and my uncle highly recommended you - I am so delighted that I took their advice!! From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, the staff were amazing and so friendly and helpful, especially the doormen with their suggestions and help with the children, the location was absolutely perfect - we walked to so many places from the hotel and also used the subway as it was so handy, plus we felt very safe everywhere we went. Our 'go-to' for snacks and evening eats was the Deli opposite - the guys in there were great and always had a kind word for the children. Plus NY Pizza was delicious!! I really wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone and we shall most definitely be returning. Thank you to ALL the hotel team for making our stay memorable and special.

I loved this hotel. The front desk was extremely accommodating. The restaurant was excellent - we had lunch there because we were short on time and it was Outstanding. It's extremely convenient to the West Side subways which will bring you right to Broadway. Absolute Bagels is a stone's throw. Lincoln Center is a stone's throw. It's in a neighborhood, so you won't be overwhelmed by noise. You get to observe how NYers live. there are so many exceptional restaurants nearby, you'll eat fantastic food at non-tourist prices. I've lived in NYC, I've stayed in NYC (Peninsula, 4 Seasons, Intercontinental Times Square). I would return here, no holds barred. You have a wonderful hotel! For anyone staying in NYC from out of town... the 1/9 subway trains are North/South local., West Side The 2/3 are express n/s, West Side. If you want to get across town, you have to take a bus or walk. I'd suggest walking Central Park South. Don't walk across town through Central Park at night.

Very comfortable bed and bedding, room was spotlessly clean and the air con worked well which was something I didn’t think we’d need near the end of October. Location was great with having many restaurants within a block away as was the 79th street subway station which the 1 train serviced. being midway between Central Park and riverside park meant we were only about a 15 minute walk away from either. having stayed closer to Times Square in the past I found this neighbourhood a breath of fresh air, while having a NYC buzz to it, it’s not full of tourists so you feel like you’ve really stayed in the city and not a tourist attraction.

There were 6 of us, and we arrived before check in, but could leave all of our luggage with the hotel so we could go enjoy our day. The room was large for NYC. Two full size beds in each room were comfortable and cozy. No refrigerator in room, but ice available right down the hall. Restaurant on ground floor with outdoor seating was great which we used for breakfast. They accommodated our request to have the rooms next to each other which made it convenient for the family.

We ate breakfast twice at Nice Matin, the in-hotel restaurant, and it was delicious. Convenience of the restaurant in the hotel helped getting our days off to an early start as well. This was our first time staying in a “big city” hotel so it was an adjustment over our usual motel stays. Great place - staff was very helpful and friendly - service was great in all regards. Hotel location was perfect - easy access to the subway and parking for our car was only a block away.
